Penn Wood High School-Green Avenue Campus Art Show and Sale

Each year, the Art Department of Penn Wood High School-Green Avenue Campus presents the community with an exciting "Juried Art Show and Sale." Under the direction of Art instructors Ms. Kathryn Lord and Ms. Alyce Grunt, this year's pieces will be on display at Penn Wood High School-Green Avenue Campus from May 13 through May 22, 2009 during normal school hours. On Wednesday, May 20th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., there will be an Art Show Reception and Awards Ceremony. The Awards Ceremony will be begin at 7:00 p.m.

Students will exhibit work in the various art media such as drawing, painting, sculpture, and ceramics. There will be awards for first, second, and third places in four major categories. Also included will be many honorable-mention awards.

During the Reception, members of the Penn Wood High School Chapter of the National Art Honor Society will demonstrate various art techniques used to create much of the work on display. In addition, selected student artwork will be offered for sale.
