Evans Student Selected as Outstanding School Safety Patroller

Samuel Afolabi, sixth-grade student at Evans Elementary School, has been selected as an Outstanding School Safety Patroller by the AAA Mid-Atlantic Foundation for Safety and Education and AAA Mid-Atlantic, sponsors of AAA School Safety Patrols in the states of Pennsylvania and Delaware. Samuel, chosen to represent Delaware County Schools, will be presented with a plaque and a $150 U.S. Savings Bond.

Samuel, his family, Mrs. Angela Ladson, Principal of Evans Elementary School, and Ms. Anissa Dungee, Guidance Counselor at Evans School, have been invited to an awards ceremony and luncheon, where representatives from Mid-Atlantic Foundation for Safety and Education and AAA Mid-Atlantic will honor students that have been selected as outstanding school safety patrollers in Pennsylvania and Delaware. The awards ceremony will be held on May 26, 2010 at the Radisson Hotel Valley Forge in King of Prussia, PA.
